Windows installed and a Huge Clean Up inside

Yesterday, the Carpenters installed our delivered Rylock Windows. They look fantastic.

Today, (Saturday) we pressure cleaned the slab as it was filthy with mud stains and sawdust from the last month of work with nothing but Wind and Rain.

Bricklayer turned up on site today to inspect his job in the coming weeks.

We had two truck loads of soil delivered which was through us advertising our Wanted Ad for Clean Fill. The quality of soil is fantastic. Just waiting for some sunny days to dry the wet ground on our property so that we can move some of the soil around in preparation for the commencement of landscaping.

Return of the Roofers and almost 99% complete .... and Rylock Window delivery

The roofers returned and have almost completed the ColorBond Roof install. What's left requires the erection of Blocks in the Portico area so that they can finish off. Very happy and a job well done.

Double Glazed Rylock Windows arrived today and they look fantastic. We chose Ironstone colour and we are very, very happy with them. We love the Grey Tint too. Thanks to Sales Consultant John Van Nieukerk from Rylock Pty Ltd Brunswick for his exceptional customer service and efficiency in quoting and ordering. Some of the larger Windows and Sliders require onsite glazing. This will be organised over the next couple of weeks.

The West (rear) and South side of the roofing almost complete with both Iron and Ridgecap installed

North side almost complete too

Tuffstuff™ by Sisalation® Extra Heavy duty Wall Wrap

Picked up 4 x 1350mm x 60 metre rolls of the above Sisalation TuffStuff Standard which is suitable for Brick Veneer Homes as a Sisalation Wrap. We will be installing this ourselves after our Windows have been placed into position and prior to the Brick (Block) Layers are ready to make a start.

A brief overview of the product:

Tuffstuff™ by Sisalation® is the market leader in the Australian Extra Heavy Duty wall wrap market. Tuffstuff™ by Sisalation® is an essential part of the fabric of any new home or extension providing insulation benefits and the ultimate protection against the elements. It stops moisture from transferring from the external to the internal walls & allows building work to continue inside a home even in inclement weather. This reduces the risk of construction delays. It is also effective in sealing the home and providing a barrier against wind and dust.
Tuffstuff™ by Sisalation® is made from a super strong, tear resistant woven polymer that is laminated to reflective aluminum foil. The foil’s reflective surface keeps radiant heat out of a home while the polymer weave provides a strong, water resistant barrier to protect against the elements. Tuffstuff™ by Sisalation® is available in either Standard or Breather form in a range of roll widths and lengths.

Wind and Rain not a good recipe for Roofing!

Wind, Wind, and more Wind. And then there's the Rain. So much so that it's caused delays for the Roofers getting the roof installed. After Monday's attempt, the roofers returned today (Thursday) and managed to do quite a lot. They're not coming Friday (tomorrow) as more wind has been forecasted.
